I have been in the dental field for over 16 years and a registered dental hygienist for 13 years . I am passionate about beautiful teeth, and to me there is nothing more gratifying then giving someone a brighter smile.

Prior to starting my career as a dental hygienist, I worked at a tanning salon. The tanning industry has evolved a lot over the last decade, and I have evolved with it. I want to encourage others to practice safe skin, giving all the feel goods that come with being tanned, without the ultraviolet cancer-causing rays from UV tanning beds. I am now a two time certified spray tan artist, specializing in bridal tans.

4 years ago, I combined my passions, experiences and expertise to create Smile and Glo. I can’t wait to help you feel confident and comfortable with your own skin, and smile!

CLASSic Teeth Whitening

TEETH WHITENING BOOSTER

Recommended as a touch-up 3-6 months after a Classic Teeth or Premium Whitening treatment. Expected to increase by 4-8 shades. Total appointment time approximately 40 minutes. Includes a reusable straw.

PREMIUM TEETH WHITENING

Consists of two appointments (3-4 weeks or 3-6 months apart ). First appointment is a 60 minute session, second appointment is a 40 minute session. Expected to leave your teeth 10-12 shades lighter. Everything you need for your spray tan and or teeth whitening experience brought to you, so you can keep relaxing in the comfort of your home, hotel, business or any location you would like!

For spray tanning I only require an outlet, a light source and about a 6ft space, enough room to accommodate the spray tan tent, machine and me, garages are even a suitable space.

For teeth whitening I only require an outlet, light source and places to sit for yourself and for me.

I love animals, children and can handle bothersome spouses! I leave no mess and am in and out quickly.

Every appointment includes a consultation to assess your skin tone, talk about your glo goals to customize the perfect tan just for you. We offer a wide range and mix across brands of regular (8-12 hour rinse) or rapid (2-5 hour rinse) solutions, resulting in a truly custom experience.

You will receive detailed prep and maintenance information, but most importantly, your skin should be perfectly clean, bare, dry and exfoliated prior to the session.

The entire process takes about 30 minutes, from start to finish. After we choose a custom solution for your skin type, I provide a silk robe for you to change into, so you feel comfortable before and after your tan. I use a PH balancing prep spray, to ensure your skin is at the perfect PH level, then I apply barrier cream to dry spots that need protecting. The tan itself only takes about 10 minutes - you step into my tent and I guide you through the poses as I airbrush your glo. I then apply a setting powder to protect your tan during its development period and blend out your hands and feet. Before you leave, we review the information you need to know, in order take care of your tan.

At Smile & Glo we use the highest grade whitening gel with a state of the art LED light. Getting you 4-12 shades lighter in one 60 minutes session, with little to no sensitivity. A touch up is recommended every 3-6 months however, results will last depending on your daily habits (drinking coffee/red wine, smoking, etc.

I begin by isolating your lips and gum tissues, then apply the whitening gel. The LED light is activated on your teeth for 20 minutes. After each 20-minute session, under the LED light, I remove the gel and we repeat the process – up to 2 times per treatment.

There shouldn’t be any sensitivity or discomfort during or after the procedure, as the whitening product used contains a desensitizer.

There is no preparation before your whitening treatment, results are always better after a dental checkup and cleaning. You cannot eat or drink anything, except water, for 1 hour following your treatment, or consume staining agents such as coffee, tea, tobacco, red wine, colas, etc. for 24 hours.

WHAT WOULD MAKE ME NOT AN IDEAL TEETH WHITENING CANDIDATE AT THIS TIME?

If you are pregnant or nursing
If you have been told by your primary dental provider that you have gingivitis, moderate/severe recession and/or periodontal disease
Braces on the front side of your teeth or Invisalign attachments (book once these appliances are off!)
If you have any large untreated cavities/broken teeth or loose fillings
If you have not had your teeth cleaned by your hygienist or dental professional recently. The less build up on your teeth the better results you will get!
If you have fillings/veneers or crowns on your front teeth a whitening session can still be completed, but we will have to consult as these materials will not whiten with the teeth
